Make a Stranger Smile
Thank you for helping us spread 24 smiles
Our 'Make a Stranger Smile' campaign was about building connections and making a difference during the time of social distancing. Donating a bouquet helped spread a smile to a stranger who was struggling with isolation or loneliness in West Toronto or Clarington during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Everyone who donated received a picture of the bouquet they donated and an anonymous note about the stranger who received the bouquet. At the peak of summer, donations were able to cover the cost of bouquets for two different strangers!
Through this campaign, $60 was raised for the COVID-19 Mental Health Resiliency & Coping Fund by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
We may resume our campaign in the spring once local flowers are back in season. We hope we won't have to!
